AMD Confirms Zen 3 and RDNA 2 Launch in Late 2020

HD Tecnología

Although they had already advanced it on multiple occasions, AMD confirmed that the first products based on the Zen 3 and RDNA2 architectures will arrive later this year.

The tweet is part of a long thread with news from AMD, both from its latest earnings report and from the brand's future actions, seeking to attract more investors. Another tweet also stresses that the new graphics will bring consumption-performance improvements of up to 50%, something that AMD announced in its investor conference and that it reaffirms now.

Zen 3 is expected to bring new advantages in both IPC and consumption, and possibly AM4 will be the last processors compatible with the platform. On the RDNA2 side, these graphics will be the first to support Ray-Tracing by hardware, although only in the high range, with the low range focusing on offering the best consumption-performance.
