AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT from Gigabyte pictured – Sapphire version retailer

AMD’s latest graphics card duo in the Radeon RX 5700 series has been on the market for just over a month. The cards are available from several different manufacturers, but currently all come with reference coolers of so-called blowertype, where a radial fan is responsible for the air flow. Quieter and more competent cooling solutions will come with partner-made cards.

These will make their entrance sometime in August and previous information states that two Asus models will be released on 16 and 23 August respectively. Neither AMD nor partner manufacturers have officially announced launch dates or customized models, but so far a dozen such cards have posed in front of the camera. Now a couple more variants of the Radeon RX 5700 XT can be seen in the picture.

Videocardz now shows Gigabyte’s Gaming OC 8G model of the Radeon RX 5700 XT, which comes with a large aluminum heat sink and heat pipe. This is accompanied by a trio of fans surrounded by a black plastic cover and the cooler means that the card occupies just over two expansion slots.

As with the reference model, however, four picture connections are visible in the form of three Displayports and an HDMI and also the power supply is unchanged, which is made over a 6- and an 8-pin PCI Express connector. The name reveals that the graphics card comes with elevated clock frequencies, but exact levels are unknown at the time of writing.

The price level and launch date have also been raised in the dark, but the pictures finally show that the back of the card is equipped with a stripped-down black cover plate decorated with the Gigabyte logo. This is also found on the fans and on the side of the radiator, where the latter zone offers the only illumination of the graphics card.

In addition, the British retailer Overclockers earlier this week revealed Sapphire’s bottling of the Radeon RX 5700 XT, by listing it in its online store, complete with photos and price. The model has the extension “Pulse” and is delivered with double fans and aluminum heat sink with heat pipes.

The cover around the fans has a color scheme in red, black and gray, something that spills over onto the cover plate on the back of the card. The pictures show that the radiator solution is wider than the circuit board, which is why the said cover plate has been cut at the current contacts. Again, a 6- and an 8-pin PCI Express variant apply, while the picture connections are three Displayports and one HDMI.

In terms of price, the Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Pulse is listed for 424.99 GBP, which corresponds to just under SEK 4,900. The card can not be bought, but the retailer promises that it will be available soon, but whether the price tag remains with a sharp launch remains to be seen.
