AMD releases driver with support for new Radeon RX 480

AMD has recently released its latest graphics card, the Radeon RX 480, the first to be based on the company’s new Polaris architecture. In connection with the launch of the new graphics card, which has been evaluated in SweClocker’s test lab, AMD is also taking the opportunity to release a new driver. This is version 16.6.2 of their Radeon Software Crimson Edition which introduces a number of new features.

The biggest news with the driver is that it adds support for the Radeon RX 480. In addition to this, it also comes with a new feature AMD calls WattMan, a tool aimed at users who want to overclock their graphics cards. WattMan gives users a great opportunity to fine-tune such things as fan speed, memory speed and maximum temperature.

When it comes to games, a new Crossfire profile has been added for World of Tanks and a number of bugs that occurred when Crossfire was enabled have been fixed, including The Witcher 3 and Star Wars: Battlefront.
