Ampere would have four times more Ray-Tracing power than Turing, all GPUs would be RTX

One of Turing's most criticized points was the impact on performance when activating Ray-Tracing in games, but it seems like it was just temporary. According to a new rumor, with the arrival of the new generation of Ampere graphics this problem would be eliminated thanks to the fact that they will have four times more Ray-Tracing calculation computation capacity, significantly improving performance.

According to speculation, the RTX 3060 could have the same Ray-Tracing compute capacity as an RTX 2080 Ti. In any case, the general computing capacity will be less, so do not expect them to have the same performance in games.

Goodbye to the GTX line

Another interesting part of the rumor is that with the arrival of Ampere all the graphics will support Ray-Tracing, from the low range to the high range. This means that we could see an "RTX 3050" to play 1080p with Ray-Tracing activated at an affordable price, something that would further strengthen Nvidia's market share and that would put AMD in serious trouble, which Ray will not support- Tracing in its lower range.

It will be interesting to see if these rumors are true or not, although there is still enough to know. While we will get to know Ampere next week, GeForce RTX graphics will be released in a few months so we still have to wait longer to see them officially.

Are you eager to see the Nvidia Ampere graphics? Do you think it's time to say goodbye to GTX and migrate the entire line to RTX?
