With the supposed official announcement of the new Z490 motherboards and Comet Lake-S processors a week away, and after a large number of leaks, we are starting to see the first official advances. In this case it's time to talk about Asus, who showed on Twitter a collage of their different Z490 motherboards.

The collage reveals 5 motherboards, which appear to be:

  • A White STRIX
  • A Prime Series
  • The new Z490 Pro Art
  • One TUF line
  • The new Maximus XII Apex (Through Sata connectors at 45 °)

The idea of launching a white STRIX was tested at CES 2020, and after its good reception it seems that we will finally see it on the market, even with a black PCB that was the only criticism of the public and was not changed. On the side of the “new” ProArt line, it seems to be simply a new name for the former Pro-WS line, which will merge with Asus' line of ProArt monitors and notebooks for professionals, unifying everything under one name.

Other models that we already know thanks to leaks are the Prime Z490-A and Z490-P, the TUF Z490 Plus, and the entire enthusiastic ROG Maximus XII line. For the rest of the models we surely have to wait until April 30, when this new line is officially announced.

Are you eager to see the Asus Z490 motherboards or do you prefer some other company?
