Bad idea or good idea? A GPU mount that we can accommodate on the rear case fan

The Japanese company Nagao Industry Inc is launching an interesting solution to solve the problem of those graphics cards that bend under weight, it is a bracket that connects to the rear case fan. The bracket mounts directly to the bottom 120mm fan screw holes and hangs down to support the weight of the graphics card.

We’ve seen a few unorthodox such devices, including the EVGA e-Leash and the spring-loaded MSI Graphics Card Bolster, but this one is particularly unique in that it requires a 120mm rear fan to run. The bracket supports ATX and micro-ATX cases and can also work on a mini-ITX one.

The bracket itself is flexible and can be moved 100mm side to side or 122mm vertically to accommodate smaller or larger graphics cards in smaller and taller cases. Depending on the position and mounting of the rear fan, the bracket appears to support a video card with a maximum thickness of four PCIe slotsso it would not have problems with larger video cards.

Support may not be very effective.

The main benefit of this GPU bracket is its minimalist design, it is virtually invisible as by placing it against the back of the case this means that the bracket does not obstruct the view of the graphics card and ends up blending in visually.

The downside of this GPU support is that it holds the graphics card from the front, which is where the least amount of leverage is done. This means that support may not be very effectiveDepending on the graphics card design, the bracket may not provide enough support to prevent bending.

Unfortunately or fortunately, support doesn’t seem to be for sale at the moment. Nagao Industry didn’t put a price on the product page, but since it was just discovered on Twitter, there’s a chance it might be available soon.
