The founder of Bridgewater Associates advises investors to diversify their portfolio with stock and somegold, while warning against investing in Bitcoin.

During an interview with CNBC, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ray dalio, seasoned investor and CEO-founder of Bridgewater Associates, one of the largest investment funds in the world, said that "investors should not be sidelined in 2020", saying that holding cash was a bad idea.

Cash is a "trash can", get out. There is still a lot of cash, "he said.

After praising the stock market investment, Dalio added that having "a certain amount of gold in your wallet" was also interesting.

As the US billionaire advises on gold, he warns against investing in Bitcoin, increasingly presented as "the new digital gold".

"There are two uses of money, a medium of exchange and a store of wealth, and Bitcoin is currently not effective in any of these cases," he said.

In September 2017, before the cryptocurrency market peaked, Dalio already claimed that Bitcoin was only a speculative bubble.
