Binance announces a traditional prepaid card for travelers

The Binance Exchange has announced a partnership with TravelByBit Travel Startup to launch a debit card that facilitates cryptocurrency payments on major travel sites.

According to the announcement, the card will function as a traditional prepaid card, with access to additional discounts and rewards. Users will be able to load the card with Bitcoin (BTC), Binance USD (BUSD), Binance Coin (BNB) and Ontology (ONT).

The card will be launched early next year and will initially cover trips to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Australia and Europe. Later, the two companies will expand it to other regions.

The new service will allow customers to book flights and hotels through major booking sites. These include Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and Ctrip, as well as through TravelByBit’s own platform.
In addition, card users have the opportunity to get rewards of up to 5% of the expenses incurred on the TravelByBit site.

TravelByBit is not the first service that allows its users to travel with cryptocurrencies. Booking company crypto Travala has announced that it will allow customers to book any hotel listed on Booking.com with cryptocurrencies.

Also, earlier this summer, Norwegian Air announced that it would launch its own cryptocurrency exchange. This will further facilitate the airline’s acceptance of cryptocurrency payments.
