According to a report published by The Block, Binance is preparing to buy CoinMarketCap. The acquisition would be worth about $ 400 million, the highest value in crypto space to date.
CoinMarketCap is the most popular crypto data aggregator, with over 207.2 million visitors in the last six months, according to the Web. By comparison, Binance attracted 113.8 million visitors in the same period. According to The Block, attracting traffic is the main motivation behind the acquisition.
Apparently, the official announcement will be made by the end of this week.
