Bitcoin (BTC) Comes Serious Competitor Microsoft Will Generate Crypto Money From Human Body Movements

Microsoft patented an innovative cryptocurrency based on body temperature instead of expensive mining rig. The patent titled ‘Crypto Money System Using Data from Body Activities’ appeared on March 26.

Body Temperature Instead of Mining Equipment

According to the patent’s description, different human body activities (such as radiating heat or even brain waves when a user performs a specific task online) can be used for mining and proof of work (PoW).

The patent claims to be able to subconsciously solve complex computing problems without relying on expensive and intensive hardware.

The patent states that depending on how much activity certain tasks produce, it will reduce or increase the computing energy accordingly. Using the human body activity data, the cryptocurrency system will most likely work through a server that commands a wearable device.

Body activity data can be generated based on the perceived body activity of the user. A cryptocurrency system connected to the user’s device can verify whether the body activity data meets one or more conditions set by the cryptocurrency system, and the body activity data can earn the cryptocurrency to the verified user.

At this stage, Microsoft has not yet announced whether this new cryptocurrency will rely specifically on any Blockchain or whether the software giant can create its own network.

Bitcoin (BTC) Mining and Energy Consumption

While the Bitcoin network is praised for its high level of security, a BTC transaction generates more CO2 than the 780,650 Visa transaction. PoW-based cryptocurrency has been revealed by research that it consumes more power than Chile.

On top of that, 98 percent of the old ASIC miner equipment goes directly to the garbage, because their utility status changes very quickly, resulting in mountain-sized e-waste streams.
