Bitcoin Lolli app raises $ 3M from Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Phan

Lolli, an application of cashback in Bitcoin, has just announced a $ 3 million financing round. The New York startup will use the funds to accelerate its international development.

Directed by Pathfinder – the investment vehicle of the powerful Californian venture capital company Founders Fund -, the fundraising has attracted many investors including the American actor Ashton Kutcher and the American youtuber and entrepreneur Michelle Phan.

By the time I heard about Lolli, I knew it was the right platform that would help make Bitcoin accessible to all, and I had to invest in it. I am delighted to be working with Lolli to help, educate and bring Bitcoin to the general public, ”said Michelle Phan in a statement.

There are also the participation of several venture capital companies such as Sound Ventures, Craft Ventures and Chapter One Ventures as well as existing investors like FJ Labs, Version One, Bain Capital Ventures and Digital Currency Group.

We are pleased to continue to accelerate Lolli's mission […] The team and I create the easiest way for people to earn bitcoins. We have an incredible syndicate of strategic investors, "said Lolli CEO Alex Adelman.

Founded in New York in 2018, Lolli offers a browser extension that alerts the user when they are on a supported e-commerce site. The startup saves up to 30% on its purchases from more than 700 merchants like Expedia, Gap, OfficeDepot, Hotels.com or Groupon, and receives the savings directly in Bitcoin.

It’s crazy to see how far we have come. I am grateful every day for our investors who give us the opportunity to build cutting-edge technology with the best engineering, business and operations teams, "added Lolli CTO Matt Senter.

Senter also clarified that the funding will accelerate the start-up’s efforts to launch its mobile application (currently in the form of a browser extension) and expand internationally.
