Bitmain, the largest producer of cryptocurrency mining equipment, has completed the construction of a large mining center in Rockdale, Texas.
“We are very pleased to launch this center, because it is very important for Bitmain’s plans to develop activities around the world. Texas’s stable and efficient energy sources are the foundation for the inevitable growth of the cryptocurrency mining industry, ”said Clinton Brown, head of Rockdale’s Bitmain project.
The construction of a 25 MW mining farm began in 2018 at a site owned by Aluminum Company of America. Bitmain then continued construction and increased farm capacity to 50 MW. In the future, it is possible to increase the farm’s capacity to 300 MW, which will make it the largest mining farm in the world.
“Bitmain will be a key factor in creating new industrial projects in Rockdale. We look forward to developing partnerships, ”said Rockdale Mayor John King.
For the Chinese company Bitmain, the Rockdale farm has become the third launched in the United States. At the same time, DMG will take over the capacity management. Energy for mining equipment comes directly from the Texas Energy Reliability Board (ERCOT).

new models of ASIC miners of the S17 series with an increased number of chips – Antminer S17 + and Antminer T17 +.
