The famous provider of payment solutions for cryptocurrencies, BitPay, now supports the XRP of Ripple.
On his blog, BitPay announced that holders of XRP could now spend their digital coins at merchants using its solution.
The arrival of XRP sure BitPay follows a partnership established this fall with Xpring, the initiative of Ripple to support the XRP ecosystem.
The specialist in crypto-payments had to use libraries managed by Xpring to integrate XRP in its platform.
"BitPay offers new opportunities for digital assets. We are delighted to continue our collaboration with BitPay and allow the use of XRP for daily purchases, which will benefit merchants and consumers, ”commented Ethan Beard, vice president of Xpring.
Following the addition of XRP, the American company now supports 4 cryptocurrencies with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, XRP and 3 stablecoins (USD Coin, Gemini Dollar and Paxos).
