MOSCOW, 4 Oct — PRIME. Hungary may have to pay at least 4 billion euros for Russian gas this winter, excluding a deferred payment to Gazprom, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Hungary launches national consultations on sanctions against Russia
The Hungarian company MVM said earlier that it had concluded an agreement with Gazprom to defer payment for gas due to sharp fluctuations in prices for the upcoming winter period.
“Hungary may have to pay about 4 billion euros or more for Russian gas during the European winter, not counting the deferred amount,” the agency said in a statement.
It is noted that Budapest received a three-year delay in the amount of approximately 1.9 billion euros.
