HD Tecnología

The second half of the year will have great news in the gaming GPU market with the arrival of RDNA2 by AMD and Ampere by Nvidia, and according to a new report by Digitimes, it seems that both companies are preparing releases on similar dates. , pointing to September as the month of arrival to the market of its new GPUs.

On the red side, RDNA2 will bring a 50% increase in energy efficiency, offering 50% more performance at the same level of consumption. They will also be the first Radeon graphics with hardware Ray-Tracing support, marking a milestone for AMD.

Regarding Nvidia, which already has Ray-Tracing in its graphics, the new line is expected to include not only the new Tensor Cores with up to 7 times more performance than those used in Turing, but also new RT Cores four times faster than current ones, having much less impact when activating ray-tracing in games. In addition, the entire line is expected to have Ray-Tracing support, eliminating the GTX line forever in favor of the new RTX line.
