MOSCOW, 2 Oct — PRIME. Britain is going to acquire two specialized vessels to protect underwater pipelines and cables, Sky News reports, citing Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
Britain offers Denmark assistance in investigating the incident at Nord Stream
Ben Wallace told the Conservative Party convention in Birmingham that the government recently committed to acquiring two specialized vessels to protect the UK’s internet and energy.
It is noted that one vessel will be put into operation at the end of 2023. This is a multifunctional research vessel “for conducting warfare at the bottom of the sea”, which will be acquired at the end of 2022. The second ship is going to be built in Britain.
