BitTorrent Company a announced a new MTB token airdrop for TRON (TRX) holders.
This is the ninth event of its kind and will take place on November 11th. In total, 990,000,000 MTB tokens will be distributed.
The BTD airdrop program started on February 11, 2019, with a token distribution ratio of 0.11 BTT for each TRX cryptocurrency. By March, this ratio had already dropped to 0.01 MTB for each TRX.
In the first airdrop 10,890,000,000 MTBs were distributed, representing 1.1% of the total offer. In the other seven stages, which take place on the 11th of each month, a total of 990,000,000 MTBs were distributed.
This rate will be maintained until February 2020. From March 11 until February 2021, 1,072,500,000 will be distributed once a month on the 11th.
The BTD airdrop program will end on February 11, 2025, with the distribution of the last 1,402,500,000 tokens.
BTT airdrop – How does it work?
To receive the BTT tokens it is sufficient to have TRX cryptocurrencies on one of the platforms that joined the initiative. These include both exchanges and wallets, and MTB tokens will be credited automatically.
BTT is currently worth $ 0.000461 and there are 212.116.500.000 out of 990.000.000.000 in circulation. Thus, the market cap for BTT amounts to about $ 97 million.
The TRC-10 utility token allows BitTorrent content creators to earn and spend digital currency without intermediaries. The BitTorrent P2P network is connected to the TRON blockchain, offering a new experience for over 100 million users.
BTT can be used for faster downloads and can be traded with TRX on a decentralized exchange.
