Cheaper OnePlus Nord smartphones can get even faster charging

OnePlus, even in its cheaper smartphones, offers a charging speed that leaves many competition models behind. According to the latest information, some OnePlus Nord devices may soon receive even faster charging support, up to 80 W.

As reported by Digit.in and @OnLeaks, OnePlus is getting ready to release the Nord 2T model, which will gain significant improvements over the model from last year. The first one is certainly a chipset, because instead of Dimensity 1200 it will be driven by Dimensity 1300. Leaks also indicate the presence of Android 12, as well as a 6.43-inch FHD + display. There is also talk of a triple camera configuration, consisting of a 50 Mpix main unit, an 8 Mpix mono 2 Mpix ultra wide-angle lens. The selfie camera is to offer a resolution of 32 Mpix.

However, these are not the only improvements to be brought by the OnePlus Nord 2T. The leak mentions a change in the supported charging power. In the Nord 2 model, we got 65 W charging, which was already really fast, especially in the price range, and allowed us to stay ahead of the competition. Meanwhile, OnePlus is supposed to speed up the charging, changing it to 80 W. This is quite surprising information, considering the fact that the recently debuting OnePlus 10 Pro is also equipped with such charging, and this is a completely different class of smartphone.

Of course, the leak does not have to be real, so we should treat this information with caution for now. The premiere of the OnePlus Nord 2T has not yet been announced, but we expect the smartphone to debut in the near future.
