Chernyshenko: Russia will achieve technological independence thanks to lighthouses

MOSCOW, August 23 – PRIME. Russia will achieve technological independence thanks to five lighthouse projects, for the implementation of which more than 140 billion rubles are planned to be allocated in 2022-2025, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said at the Technoprom-2022 forum.

According to him, the Russian economy is under unprecedented pressure, more than ten thousand various restrictions have been imposed on the country, and more than a thousand domestic companies, including high-tech ones, have been subject to sanctions.

According to the data of Rosstat given by the Deputy Prime Minister, out of 240,000 technologies used by Russian companies, 32% were purchased from foreign developers. “In a situation where access to Western technologies is limited, our own scientific and technological development comes to the fore. It is fundamentally important for the economic security of the country. We have to consolidate efforts, reconfigure existing tools and mechanisms for implementing scientific and technological policy,” Chernyshenko said. .

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that there are lighthouse projects that, due to their scale, are capable of providing integrated technological development. Five such beacon projects have been launched today. Three are for the commercial use of drones, and two more are for electric vehicles and personal digital medical devices.

He added that for the implementation of lighthouse projects in 2022-2025, 13.3 billion rubles are provided for from the budget, 46 billion rubles from the National Welfare Fund, and 81 billion rubles from extrabudgetary funds.
