Chrome works in incognito mode only on Windows 11/10

Google Chrome is one of the most used browsers by users. Many users have reported that Chrome only works in incognito mode. It doesn’t work in normal mode. Chrome suddenly stops working, won’t load pages, or is too slow. If you kill the process in Task Manager and reopen a new Chrome window and switch to incognito, things start loading. If you are bothered by this error, don’t worry. We have compiled the fixes to help you overcome this problem.

Solution 1 – Delete your user profile in Chrome

1. Hold the keys Ctrl+Mayús+Esc together to open the Task Manager window.

2. In the Task Manager window that opens, kill all Chrome processes. To kill a process, the right button of the mouse in the process and choose Final task.

3. Open the Run dialog box with the keys Windows + R.

4. Type the location below and touch Get into

C:Users%username%AppDataLocalGoogleChromeUser DataDefault

Note:

5. In the window that opens, find the folder named Default.

6. The right button of the mouse about him Default folder and choose Delete.

7. If you see any dialog boxes appear, click Delete.

Alternatively, you can click on the Defaults folder and hold down the keys Shift+Delete together to delete the folder.

Check if this fixes the problem. If not, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Reset Chrome

1. Delete the default folder using the steps given in Solution 1.

2. Open the Chrome browser.

3. In the search bar at the top, copy and paste the location below and touch Get into.

chrome://settings/reset

4. In the window that appears, click reset settings.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall Chrome

1. Open the Run dialog box with the keys Windows + R.

2. Type appwiz.cpl and press Get into.

3. In the window that appears, find Google Chrome.

4. Click on the three points together with him.

5. Choose uninstall.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstall process.

7. Click this link to Download Chrome

8. Download Chrome on your system.

9. Double click the executable file and finish the installation process.

Now, try to open Chrome.
