Club 3D releases Radeon HD Royal Knight graphics card package for Crossfire

With sales pitches such as Crossfire compatibility testing, custom coolers and Eyefinity support, Club 3D is releasing two graphics cards for Crossfire configurations. The newcomers are called the Royal Knight and consist of three models from the Radeon HD 7800 and 7700 series.

Radeon HD 7870 Royal Knight are two graphics cards with the circuit Pitcairn XT. As usual, these are 1,280 stream processors with 256-bit memory bus and 2 GB of memory. The clock frequencies amount to 1,050 MHz GPU and 4.8 GHz GDDR5. In addition, video outputs are marked for two dual-link DVI, HDMI 1.4 and two Mini Displayport 1.2.

The Radeon HD 7850 Royal Knight is identical in appearance to two Pitcairn Pros with 1,024 stream processors, a 256-bit memory bus and 2 GB of memory. The clock frequencies remain at 910 MHz GPU and 4.8 GHz GDDR5. However, it is unclear exactly which video outputs are offered because the information in the data sheet does not match the images.

Last but not least, a package with two Radeon HD 7770 Gigahertz Editions is introduced. This is a Cape Verde XT with 640 stream processors, a 128-bit memory bus and 1 GB of memory. As the name suggests, the graphics processor spins at 1 GHz while the memory frequency is specified at 4.5 GHz. In addition, connections for dual-link DVI, HDMI 1.4 and Displayport 1.2 are noticeable.

Club 3D’s new graphics card package will be on the market soon. Anyone who chooses a Crossfire package should be able to save a few kroner compared to buying two separate graphics cards, however, it is unclear how much.
