This is the conclusion reached by employees of the developer of the well-known VPN service Atlas VPN after conducting an independent study. The rating includes six observers (quantitative indicators are indicated in exact numbers).
According to the experts’ report, Google Chrome is still the most popular browser on the planet. Today its audience is 3 258 256 887 people. This is almost 41% of the world’s population.
Safari and Mozilla Firefox were next in the top three. At the moment, the “apple” browser is used by 944,576,100 people on different platforms. At the same time, the “Fire Fox” significantly lagged behind its closest competitor with an indicator of 181,435,430 users.
The last three places are shared by equally well-known web applications. The fourth place was predictably taken by the growing popularity of Microsoft Edge, and the fifth was the Korean Samsung Internet Browser. Both browsers reach roughly the same audience – about 170 million people. Operator closes the rating on the sixth position, preferred by 110 million Internet users.
It is noteworthy that the list of popular browsers did not include the legendary Internet Explorer, which was recently declared completely obsolete and removed from the Windows operating system. At the same time, the developers left the special IE mode in the new Microsoft Edge browser, which replaced it several years ago.
