CPPK launched an NFC service on all validators in its network

MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. The Central Suburban Passenger Company (CSPC) has launched a contactless NFC service on all validators in its network, the press service of the CSPC reports.

“Now the activation function is available on all validators – there are more than 700 of them at the company’s test site. Currently, owners of Android mobile devices with NFC modules can use it,” the message says.

The company clarified that earlier the contactless ticket activation system as part of a phased launch had already been introduced at the turnstiles. Now, with the introduction of it on the validators, using NFC, you can go through all the stations of the CPPK.

The release notes that the introduction of contactless technology saves up to 10 seconds per pass – about 2.5 hours per year.

Ticket activation via NFC was launched on the Kazan direction in December 2021. Since the start of the function, passengers of the CPPK have used NFC more than 715,000 times.

“Central PPK” is the largest carrier among suburban passenger companies in Russia. TsPPK carries out 91.4% of all transportation at the Moscow railway junction, 63.7% – in Russia. It is also the carrier of the first two lines of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD).
