The Venezuelan cryptocurrency exchange CriptoLAGO and the “investment crypto bank” Glufco launched a debit card supporting four cryptocurrencies, including the Petro state coin.
“What we all expected, our alliance with Glufco brings us to the forefront!”, – representatives of CriptoLAGO write on the social network Instagram.
In addition to the Venezuelan Petro state cryptocurrency, the debit card supports bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and Dash (DASH). At the same time, representatives of Glufco called
card with a “cryptocurrency transfer device” and hinted that in the future the system will automatically update and receive support for new digital assets. True, it seems that the card will not receive support for fiat currencies, including bolivar.
The terminals for using the card can be installed at retail outlets, while the software supports various operating systems.
Recall that the launch of the Venezuelan state cryptocurrency Petro took place
in 2018. However, it did not win popularity, so the country’s authorities are trying to maximize the promotion of the project within the state. So, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, obliged
Bank of Venezuela open Petro terminals in all branches. In addition, pension savings of citizens were transferred to Petro.
