Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 18 million copies

During its meeting with investors to reveal financial results, CD Projekt RED revealed that since it was launched in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 18 million copiessome numbers that have been significantly lower than expected after the disastrous launch suffered by the game, which led to it even being withdrawn from sale or the platforms of Sony, Microsoft or Steam admitting the return of the money.

On the other hand, today the saga of The Witcher has exceeded 65 million copies soldbeing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the most popular installment by far, since only this one has sold over 40 million copies.

As far as the near future of CD Projekt RED is concerned, things are not looking too good, and that is The Next-Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed indefinitely after Saber Interactive was pushed out of the project. Now it will be the CD Projekt studio itself that will review all the work done so far to continue until its completion.

On the other hand, cyberpunk 2077 expansion will also arrive later than expected, specifically by 2023in which 160 people are working:
