Dubai launched a blockchain platform for business

Dubai’s Ministry of Economic Development has announced the launch of a unified blockchain business platform (UBRP), which should greatly facilitate the conduct of business in the UAE.

The platform will simplify obtaining various licenses and paperwork for launching companies. Already, several departments are connected to UBRP, and in the future more than 40 ministries and government organizations will join the platform.

Local Saudi Gazette reports that UBRP is launched on a BaaS platform called Dubai Pulse, which was developed jointly by the Smart Dubai initiative and du telecommunications company.

UBRP is part of the UAE’s broader blockchain development strategy Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021, in which by 2021 more than half of government transactions and operations should be transferred to the blockchain.

The other day, the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, announced that it was going to put cadastral service records on the SmartHub blockchain platform.
