MOSCOW, 7 Sep — PRIME. The new emergency energy measures that the European Commission is developing, including the possibility of imposing price caps on Russian pipeline gas, are temporary, according to the EC materials.

It is noted that the document submitted by the body is unofficial. He sets out the rationale and key elements of the emergency measures currently being considered by the commission to address the problems in the energy market.
The authors of the materials also listed a set of five measures, including the possibility of limiting prices for Russian pipeline gas.
“Various emergency measures to be taken in accordance with Article 122 of the Treaty at the European level will be adequate, proportionate and limited in time to solve serious problems in the field of energy,” the document says.
