EU agrees new measures in response to high energy prices

On the air of the SVT TV channel, Borg answered yes to the presenter’s question about whether electricity prices could double compared to the winter of 2021.

According to the channel, in December 2020, one household in Sweden paid 1,560 SEK ($143) for electricity, in December 2021 this figure was 6,500 kroner ($595). In December 2022, this figure could be around 13,000 crowns ($1,191).

At the end of September, the Finnish electricity grid company Fingrid updated its monthly forecast for electricity availability in winter, taking into account a possible shortage of supplies from Sweden.
