On March 12, XRP, Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC) prices fell 13 percent and 11 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, Chainlink (LINK) leads the losers with a 22 percent drop. It is currently trading at $ 3.11, the lowest level since the beginning of February.
According to CoinMarketCap data, 24-hour drop rates and current values of cryptocurrencies at the time of writing are as follows:
XRP: $ 0.188, down 10 percent
ETH: $ 170, down 14 percent
LTC: $ 42, down 13 percent
Chainlink: $ 3.11, down 22 percent
LINK and Matic Biggest Losers
The rapid decline of LINK is remarkable because it is now the top 100 worst performing cryptocurrency. Of course, there is nothing shocking about these price drops. The price of Matic (MTC) has dropped nearly 70 percent since December 10. While all U.S. stock exchanges operate like a floating cryptocurrency, altcoins lost more than 20 percent of their value overnight.
Need a Safe Port?
Bitcoin, with its new value of 7 thousand 384 dollars, reveals the serious decline in the day. Bitcoin (BTC) behaves like a typical risky asset, but the six percent decline still looks relatively moderate compared to some of the above mentioned altcoins and traditional markets.
By the way, if you are looking for a safe haven among cryptocurrencies, you can consider the LEO of Bitfinex, the only major cryptocurrency left in the green. The same is true for Tether, who has only a small decline of 0.06 percent.
