EVGA discounts the price of a GeForce RTX 3090Ti card by $ 1,000

The typical signal that manufacturers are preparing for debut of a new generation of video cards is what i see retail prices on the market drop dramatically, thanks to various promotions and discounts. The aim is obviously to empty the warehouses so that they can be restored again with the new generation producers expected on the market in the coming months.

EVGA is making its profile available on its US website GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 con a very substantial discount, equal to $ 1,000. Considering an official list of $ 2,149 this leads to an almost halving of the actual price on the market. This cost is not even to be compared with what was requested only a few months ago for the same card, when we were in the midst of the boom in video card prices due to the out-of-market demand from miners.

EVGA points out on its website as it is an offer made for a limited period of time; at the time this article is written, the card at $ 1,149 is no longer available, while a model at $ 1,199 remains available for purchase along with others for which discounts varying between 500 and 700 dollars are offered.

Unfortunately these offers are reserved for North American consumers only but they outline a scenario that we will presumably see replicated also by other companies as the debut of the next generations of NVIDIA video cards of the GeForce RTX family approaches. It will take some time before this happens but the still high inventories, combined with a demand that is no longer driven by the purchases of video cards for cryptocurrency mining, could incentivize very interesting commercial initiatives such as this one from EVGA.
