It is noted that Evraz equipped the Sheregeshskaya mine with an LTE wireless network, a positioning system for self-propelled vehicles and electric locomotives, as well as a technological radio communication system as part of a digitalization project. As follows from the message of the company, Sheregeshskaya is the first mining enterprise in Kuzbass, where they began to use high-performance self-propelled equipment. The volume of investments amounted to 208 million rubles.

It is added that tests at Sheregeshskaya have already yielded results: “equipment utilization increased by 5%, production increased by 50,000 tons in the fourth quarter of 2021, and for the whole of 2021, the mine produced a record 5 million tons of raw ore.” Also, it says. that the project will be continued at other enterprises.
Evraz is a vertically integrated steel and mining company with production assets in Russia, the US and Canada. It is one of the largest steel producers in the world in terms of production volumes. The largest beneficiaries are Roman Abramovich (28.64%), Alexander Abramov (19.32%) and Alexander Frolov (9.65%). Last year, Evraz reduced its steel output by 0.4% to 13.57 million tons.
