MOSCOW, 31 Aug – PRIME. Moscow hopes that the visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will help stop the provocation of a nuclear catastrophe by Ukraine and nuclear blackmail, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

IAEA mission plans to spend several days at Zaporozhye NPP
“We expect that the visit of IAEA experts scheduled for today to the nuclear power plant will help stop the Ukrainian authorities in their desire to provoke a nuclear catastrophe and stop nuclear blackmail,” said the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry.
Earlier Tuesday, it was reported that a group of 14 IAEA experts headed by the agency’s director general Rafael Grossi had arrived in Kyiv. According to Reuters on Wednesday morning, the mission moved towards the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Grossi confirmed the information, adding that specialists would spend several days at the facility.
