ForspokenSquare Enix’s ambitious RPG game, has suffered a five-month delay, and although it was originally going to be released on May 24, it will finally go on sale on October 11th.

Seeing how well similar games like Elden Ring or Horizon: Forbidden West are doing, the bar is very high, so I’m sure these five months will be very well received for its final release, and more so after many of the last Triple A titles have suffered disappointing launches in order to avoid announcing new delays (Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 2042, etc).

“We have made the decision to move the Forspoken release date to October 11, 2022. Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers around the world will want to experience for years to come, for getting it right is extremely important to us. To that end, we’ll be focusing all of our efforts on polishing the game over the next few months, and we can’t wait for you to experience Frey’s journey this fall.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to sharing more about Forspoken with you soon.”
