G.Skill shows a 7000MT / s DDR5 ram memory kit

G, Skill announced a new 7000MT / s speed DDR5 ram memory kit and CL40-40-40-76 latencies, the highest speed kit announced to date. This kit has two 16GB modules for a total capacity of 32GB, and uses Samsung chips, which generally tend to be the ones with the best speed-latency ratio.

As the company explained, this is the first time that such a high frequency has been achieved using air cooling with sufficient stability to pass a Memtest test. In their labs all the above results were using liquid nitrogen, which we will surely see this Thursday when the embargo on Alder Lake-S processors and Z690 motherboards ends.

G.Skill also announced that it is currently the company to offer the fastest speed Intel-certified DDR5 kit following Intel’s certification of the Trident Z5 6666MHz kit. In the competing companies, no kit was certified above 5200MHz, so for the moment G.Skill has the podium with ample leadership in this regard.

No price or availability details have yet been given on this new 7000MT / s kit since there are surely few chips that reach this frequency and they still do not have enough kits to go on the market. Precisely for this reason they will not be cheap at all, so we may have to settle for a kit of 5200MT / s or at most 6000MT / s.
