Gas storages in the Netherlands are 90% full

PARIS, Sep 29 – PRIME. Gas storage facilities in the Netherlands are 90% full, enough to survive the winter, Dutch gas transport company Gasunie said.

Gas consumption in Germany rose above the annual average

“Gas storage facilities in the Netherlands are 90% full. It is expected that there will be no shortage of gas this winter,” a company spokesman told BNR.

Earlier it was reported that the highest gas price in Europe was established in the Netherlands: the Dutch pay about 28 cents per kilowatt-hour, or 2.76 euros per cubic meter of gas.

A number of city councils in the Netherlands, according to media reports, have asked the government to temporarily exempt them from EU sanctions against Russia due to difficulties in finding alternatives to Russian energy sources.
