Geforce GTX 650 Ti Boost and Radeon HD 7790 – mid-range graphics cards

Despite the recent launches of the Geforce GTX Titan and Radeon HD 7790, there is a relative silence in the graphics card market. The Kepler and GCN architectures have been on the market for over a year, but despite this, no new series are in the pipeline. Instead, both AMD and Nvidia take the opportunity to supplement the existing offering.

The latest is the Geforce GTX 650 Ti Boost, which meets the Radeon HD 7790 and 7850 in the price range around SEK 1,500. Both models are presented as the obvious choice for gamers on a budget, but the question is whether they have what it takes to enjoy modern games at acceptable frame rates.
