GeForce RTX 3070 Ti: models with 8 and 16GB of GDDR6X memory coming?

According to new rumors released by the Asian site Uniko’s Hardware via Twitter, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti waiting for mid-May (barring possible postponements) could adopt briefs GDDR6X di Micron a 19 Gbps. There would be coming two versions, one with 8GB of VRAM – as already reported in previous rumors – e one with 16GB.

On board the card, according to the previous rumors, there should be a GA104-400 GPU, that is a GA104 with all drives active, so 6144 CUDA core, the same number as the mobile GeForce RTX 3080. The current desktop RTX 3070 stops at 5888 CUDA cores and has 8GB of GDDR6 memory at 14 Gbps. Without prejudice to the 256-bit bus, there would therefore be a rather large jump in bandwidth, from 448 GB / s of the 3070 to about 608 GB/s on the Ti model.

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti could arrive on the market together with the RTX 3080 Ti, cards that, according to rumors of the past few hours, have slipped from mid-April to mid-May. The RTX 3080 Ti should come with a GA102 GPU featuring 10240 CUDA cores, flanked by 12 GB of GDDR6X memory at 19 Gbps on a 384-bit bus.

The card in question should offer performance not far behind that of the RTX 3090, with a list price of $ 999 like AMD’s RX 6900 XT. A price which, however, given the shortage and the continuing production problems, will hardly be respected at launch and in the months to follow.
