Over the weekend new rumors have emergedon future NVIDIA video cards of the GeForce RTX 3000 family. Two models covered by the information: GeForce RTX 3080 Ti e GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
The first has been talked about for some time, with the most recent rumors that we reported in this news published in recent weeks. This is a card that it will position itself between the GeForce RTX 3080 and the GeForce RTX 3090, based on the same GA102 GPU adopted for the GeForce RTX 3080, here in theGA102-225-A#, with presumably small differences in terms of the number of integrated CUDA cores.
The architecture of the memory should change, in this case switched to a 384 bit wide bus with 12GB GDDR6X total and a clock rate that could be higher to further increase the bandwidth. For this card the rumors speak of a market debut scheduled for mid-April.
Following, with launch for the end of May, we will find the card GeForce RTX 3070 Ti based on GA104 GPU: it would be specific to the version GA104-400-A# with all the 6144 CUDA cores it has activated against the 5888 which the GeForce RTX 3070 cards are equipped with. We will also find improvements on the memory side, always in the quantity of 8GB with GDDR6X modules but with a high clock frequency passing from GDDR6 modules at 14 Gbps to GDDR6X presumably from at least 16 Gbps if not higher.
Not specified by the source, but easy to imagine that these cards will implement a limitation on their processing capabilities in mining cryptocurrencies, mirroring what NVIDIA did with the new GeForce RTX 3060 12GB card.
