GeForce RTX 4080 and 4070, new rumors: these scores make you fly

The leaker Kopite7kimi, about ten days ago, had talked about the alleged GeForce RTX 4090 score in 3DMark Time Spy Extreme, setting a very high bar: over 19,000 points in the Graphics test. In these hours he has returned to talking about numbers, adding to the cauldron of indiscretions i GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 card scores.

While saying he is not too sure of the numbers, he speaks of over 15,000 points for the GeForce RTX 4080 and about 10,000 points for the GeForce RTX 4070. Comparing those numbers to the current generation of NVIDIA, it emerges an almost 70% higher score for the 4080 than the 3080 and 33% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti. The gap between RTX 4080 and 4090 would therefore amount to 26%, a value double compared to the 13% that separates the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090. As for the GeForce RTX 4070, the 10,000 points would represent + 50% compared to the RTX 3070 and performance at the level of the RTX 3090.

While underlining that these are unverifiable indiscretions and that synthetic tests may not equal real gaming performance, the conviction that we will be faced with a new big leap forward in performance is growing more and more.

According to rumors the GeForce RTX 4080 should show up with an AD103 GPU equipped with 10240 active CUDA cores and 16GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus, a configuration that would guarantee a bandwidth of 672 GB / s. The card’s TBP should be at a level of 420Wcertainly not content.
