Gigabyte bundles GTX Titan OC with the Windforce 3X cooler

Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan claims to be the world’s fastest graphics card with a single graphics core, but the flagship has a dark back for computer makers. It must be purchased as a complete package, which also includes the radiator, and this leaves some room for manufacturers to differentiate themselves from the crowd.

Gigabyte’s solution to the problem is to supply the graphics card with the standard cooler and include the Windforce 3X cooler for end-user installation. The radiator has five heat pipes of eight millimeters, which is combined with two large batches of aluminum cooling fins that are cooled by a trio of fans in 80 millimeters. The package includes everything that may be needed during assembly, including cooling paste.

In addition, graphics cards are factory overclocked to 928 MHz with a nominal frequency of 980 MHz (GPU Boost 2.0), which can be compared to 837 MHz and 876 MHz in the standard version. The new cooler will also ensure that the graphics card maintains a high turbo frequency for longer intervals and lowers the sound level. However, the 6 GB GDDR5 graphics memory remains at 6,008 MHz according to Nvidia’s reference value.
