Google Pay and Apple Pay can be used to buy and spend Bitcoin

Despite crashing markets, companies are working hard to increase further adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. In two separate announcements, Coinbase and the popular internet browser Opera have announced that they have taken serious steps in this regard.

Coinbase Card Available With Google Pay

Coinbase, the leading US crypto exchange, allows its users to buy a cryptocurrency card through partnership with Visa. Now the card allows users to spend Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly from their Coinbase accounts using Google Pay. This is the first company that allows users to make mobile payments with cryptocurrencies. This option is currently available in certain countries, such as the UK, Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Slovakia and several other European countries. However, according to Coinbase, card support will expand this year. It is important to note, however, that the card is still not supported on Apple Pay.

Opera Enables To Buy Bitcoin With Apple Pay

Opera is a popular internet browser that works hard to include crypto payments in its infrastructure. The browser now allows users in the U.S. to purchase Bitcoin and Ethereum via Apple Pay and debit cards. To do this, Opera has partnered with Wyre, a payment company that specializes in web-based solutions.

Reports state that fees charged by Wyre will be set to $ 0.30 + 2.9% per transaction. This new feature is available for three of Opera’s browsers – iOS Opera Touch, Android and desktop browser.

These studies are directly proportional to people’s desire to buy Bitcoin. Data from Google Insights for Search reveals that the search for “Buy Bitcoin” is almost the same as search for “Buy Gold” at the time of this writing. Moreover, a few days ago, when the price of Bitcoin fell, the term “Buy Bitcoin” had passed the searches for gold.
