HIS Radeon HD 6970 IceQ Mix is the name of a new graphics card with plenty of features. The model not only manages Eyefinity via five video outputs simultaneously, but can also be combined with another graphics card in the DX11 class, regardless of manufacturer.
The secret is the Lucid Logix Hydra circuit, which opens up for Crossfire or SLI-like configurations and enables the graphics card to work with, for example, an Nvidia Geforce for higher performance.
Otherwise, the graphics processor Cayman XT is visible with 1,536 stream processors in 880 MHz, 256-bit memory bus and 2 GB GDDR5 memory (5,500 MHz). The cooling is handled by a heat sink with four copper heat pipes that block an extra card slot and blow out the hot air at the rear edge. Video connections are offered in the form of two DVIs, as many Displayport 1.2 and a single HDMI 1.4a.
The new graphics card will be introduced in a “limited edition” and will be available in stores shortly. The price lands at approximately SEK 3,300 including VAT.
