How Can I Find Out On Snapchat If Someone Is Typing

One of the attractions of social media is the fact that be able to interact with your friends or family members in real time. Being able to send text messages, photos and videos and share important moments that make it more fun and interesting.

On Snapchat we can take a photo or video and send it to our friends instantly. Not only that, that Snap can be customized by editing it with the tools that this application offers. We can take the photo with a filter, add text to it and thus make the moment a lot of fun.

Long ago, when this world of the Internet and social networks began, it was impossible to know instantly if the person to whom we sent it had received it. Today these applications let us know if the message was received and even read by the recipient.

Snapchat is no exception, so we can tell if someone received, saw or read our Snap or text messages. Many times it is uncomfortable or even annoying to send a message to a contact and wait for a response. So we ask ourselves: Can you tell if someone is writing or replying to a message? In this post we are going to show how we can find out.

How can I tell if someone is messaging on Snapchat

In Snapchat there are two basic ways to know if someone to whom we have sent a message, is replying to us. One is observing your bitmoji in chat and the other through notifications sent by the application itself. Next, we explain the method.

Once the app is downloaded according to the operating system, we log in and enter the chat which is located in the Friends section. There should appear a list of contacts to whom we have sent a message. We locate the name of the one that concerns us and we open your chat by sliding your finger from left to right.

Then we wait for your bitmoji to appear at the bottom left of the screen. If the person is online and writing to you, then your bitmoji will appear standing. If you don’t have a bitmoji then a smiley face or blue dot should appear. If his bitmoji, little face or blue dot isn’t showing up, then he’s not writing to you.

An important observation is that if the person is online and editing an image that they will send you, then you will not be able to tell by this method. The other way to know if someone is writing to you is through the write notifications that the application sends.

If we have Snapchat configured to receive notifications when someone is writing to us, we will receive one when this happens. We could even select from whom or who we want to receive notifications. These will arrive without having to open the application from Snapchat.

Why am I not getting the notification that someone is writing on Snapchat?

This may be mainly due to the fact that the application is not configured to receive write notifications. These come to us when the sender opens their chat screen and touches or opens ours. Just touching the text box to write to us, Snapchat immediately sends us the notification that someone is writing to us.

To activate it we just have to open and test the application and go to settings, from there we select Notifications. Then in the displayed panel we touch on Allow or Enable Notifications and we can already receive them when someone is writing to us.

How to disable write notifications

Although for some receiving notifications can be positive, especially if you want to know if they are responding to us, for others it is not so. Many times we receive notifications from someone who is not actually writing to us, Instead, he mistakenly opened our chat and touched the text box.

To disable this function we proceed as follows: we open the application, then on the profile screen we select the gear icon of the Settings. Once there we locate the Notifications window and we uncheck the option Enable notifications.

If you have already created your Snapchat account, we hope this post will be useful for you when using this social network and enjoying the experience of sharing with your friends.
