How to disable keyboard vibration on Android

As with many things in the Android world, there are tons of different keyboard apps available to you. We’ll show you how to turn off vibration for two of the most common keyboard apps: Google’s Gboard and the default Samsung keyboard.

Disable keyboard vibration for Gboard

Gboard is available for all Android phones and tablets. It may already be your device’s default keyboard. Otherwise, you can use install from Play Store and set it as the default keyboard.

First, enter a text box to bring up the Gboard keyboard. From there, tap the gear icon to open the app settings.

Then go to “Preferences”.

Scroll down to the “Key Settings” section and disable “Haptic feedback on each key”.

Disable keyboard vibration for Samsung keyboard

First, swipe down once from the top of your Samsung Galaxy device screen and tap the gear icon.

Then go to “Global Management”.

Select “Samsung keyboard settings”.

Scroll down to “Slide, Press, and Return”.

Select “Tactile Comments”.

Deactivate “Vibrate”.
