Problem: How to Disable Kids Mode or Uninstall Your App on Samsung Galaxy?

Hi guys ! I gave my Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet to my kids and they managed to lock it into kids mode. What I see now is a yellow background with a crocodile and several children’s games. I tried to turn off this mode, but to no avail. Could someone please help as I’m already starting to hate crocodiles…

Answer provided

In 2015, Samsung Electronics Co launched the Kids Mode app for tablets and smartphones. The app has been adopted by millions of parents who allow their children to enjoy smart devices. Kids Mode protects children from accessing questionable or dangerous content and allows parents to set limits.

At the same time, it is a source of entertainment for children, for example, it can create interactive character of children mode which can be customized according to children’s preferences. Moreover, it gives access to various games suitable for children (about 2500), free and paid, allowing them to learn the language, play math games adapted to their age and so on.

Why, therefore, this desire to remove Kids Mode on the Samsung tablet? Kids Mode app is not installed on Samsung tablets by default. The problem arises if, for example, a child downloads and configures the app on his / her own. This way, he or she could enter a ransom password and switch to Kids Mode leaving parents unable to turn it off.

The same problem occurs if parents forget the Kids Mode password so they cannot disable it conventionally. In this case, the tablet or smartphone is planted and a blue screen with a green crocodile is displayed. To correct the problem, you should restart the device in Kids Mode and reset its password to a different PIN or completely uninstall the Kids Mode app. In case this didn’t help, you might need to reset the device.

Reinstall or reset the Kids Mode app

If you are stuck in Kids Mode because you have forgotten, lost or never known the PIN code, one solution would be to reinstall and reset the application.
