How to enable or disable Show accent color in Windows border and title bars in Windows 11

Did you know that with Windows 11 you can modify the way colors are displayed in Windows and your applications? Along with the color change mode, it also allows users to alter accent colors in the title bars and window borders of their system. If anyone wants to know how to enable or disable screen accent color on title bars and window borders, this post will teach them how to do it in 2 ways.

How to enable or disable Show accent color in Windows border and title bars using Settings app

Step 1: Press Windows + I keyboard keys to open the Settings app.

Step 2: Then click Personalization on the left side of the window.

Step 3: select Colors on the right side of the window as shown in the following screenshot.

Step 4: Scroll down the color page and click Show accent color in title bars and window borders toggle button to rotate Upon As shown below.

Step 5: Then you can choose any color in the Windows colors section as shown.

Step 6: close the Settings window.

How to enable or disable Show accent color in Windows border and title bars using Registry Editor

NOTE: Before continuing with this method, save a backup copy of the log file by exporting it to your system. Because in case something goes wrong, you can reverse it at any time with the backup file.

Step 1: Press Windows + R keyboard keys to open To run dialog box.

Step 2: Write regedit in the run box and press the Get into wrench.

Step 3: click Yes in the UAC message to continue.

Step 4: Copy and paste the path below into the address bar and press Get into wrench.

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsDWM

Step 5: select DWM registry key and double click Color prevalence dword value on the right side of the editor window.

Step 6: Login 0 in the Value data text box and click OK to enable the display of accent colors on title bars and window borders.

Step 7: Click the Value data text box and enter 0 and click OK to disable the display of accent colors on title bars and window borders.

Step 8: Close the Registry Editor window.
