How to Tune: Overclock Radeon HD 6700 Series
By overclocking the video card, you can achieve an increase in performance in games by an average of 10-15 percent.
It should be remembered that overclocking the AMD Radeon HD 6700 can lead to undesirable consequences, up to the failure of the video card. To prevent this from happening, you should follow the sequence of actions.
To overclock the video adapter, it is recommended to use the free MSI Afterburner utility. The procedure is as follows:
- In the main window of the program, slightly move the sliders opposite the Memory Clock and Core Clock parameters, and then apply the changes.
- Go into the game for a few minutes and see if the video card works correctly.
- If everything is in order, increase the value of the parameters a little more.
- When artifacts start to appear during the game, or the video driver starts to reboot, you will need to lower the frequencies a bit and save the changes.
