I’m sure many of you will have known this for a while, but today I discovered something interesting; it is possible to know the telephone operator to which a mobile number belongs simply by typing 456 followed by the number whose operator you want to know.
How to know telephone operator
Depending on the manager, the answers are different:
- Vodafone: make a free call using the “456” service: all you have to do is dial the number from your Vodafone SIM 456 followed by the mobile number you are interested in. For example, to know the telephone operator of the number 3491234567, you will need to make a call to the number 4563491234567 and wait for the voice guide to tell you if the number is Vodafone or not. The call is completely free.
- Wind: If you are a Wind customer and you want to know if the number you are interested in is Wind, you can dial the number from your SIM 456 followed by the telephone number you are interested in. For example, if you are interested in number 3281234567, you will need to make a call to the number 4563281234567 and wait for the voice guide to tell you if the number is Wind or not. The call is completely free.
- Tim: making a free call using the “456” followed by the mobile number you are interested in. For example, if you want to know telephone operator of the number 3337654321, you will have to make a call to the number 4563337654321 and wait for the voice guide to tell you if the number is TIM or not. The call is completely free.
- 3: Do you want to know for example if the number 3901234567 belongs to network 3? Dial 456 from your SIM followed by the number you are interested in, in this case you will have to call 4563901234567 and wait for the voice guide to tell you if it is a number 3 or not.
This is very useful information, given that by now the prefixes do not necessarily correspond to the mobile phone provider.
