How to Put Your Own Watermark on CapCut – Get Author Credit

If you find yourself reading this article, you should already know that CapCut is an application for video editing very powerful and really very easy to use, so much so that you can zoom in, move and drag what is displayed on the screen using just your fingers.

Of course, if you dedicate yourself to making your video in an innovative way and with your personal style, you want to be recognized as authorship How do you do it? Placing a watermark with your name, your logo, your social media accounts or all of the above. Here are some steps and suggestions to help you achieve this without much hassle.

What is the procedure to add a watermark in CapCut?

The idea is to add in a new layer, a text or an image that appears in all your high-level video or in only a part, it is a question that you must decide, but remember that any part of the video can be trimmed in CapCut by others users who download it.

Create a project and add an overlay

If you are going to create it from scratch, or select the video you want to edit to place the watermark, you will see that in the lower panel there are options such as Edit Audio, Text, Stickers and then Overlay. That is the option we want to select.

Add what you want to appear as a watermark

Then the button with plus sign and Add overlay in which you must choose if it will be a video or in this case, a photo with your logo, which you can customize with Filters, Contrast and saturation adjustments or Mask that will allow you to circumscribe it to a specific shape (Circle, Rectangle, Heart among others ).

Set the transparency, position and duration of the mark

Once the image is placed and selected (border is blank), you have the possibility to extend it with your fingers to the portion of the video (in part or complete) where you want it to appear, select by dragging the border of the box throughout the clip.

At that very moment, you can locate the Fillet option to define the Opacity level or transparency of the same and to place it in the part of the screen where you want it to be kept, manipulating the size and place with your fingers on the screen. Make sure that the transparency of the image allows the video to be displayed, otherwise it would not be a watermark.

What effects can make a watermark more attractive in CapCut?

Here you can get more creative. You have the possibility to select one Entrance, Exit or Combo Animation for your watermark, or in the Fillet option, under the Opacity you have some very interesting filters to give an additional touch to your brand.

You can Darken, Dodge, Lighten among others. Also, you can take advantage to place images With info from your social networks and in the Style button you can select effects that convert photos into caricature, oil paintings, children’s faces, among many others.

Everything described can be applied to Text and configured in the same way, just remember that you must select the layer where the text appears and give it the Effect, the Opacity (Effects button, Style tab at the end), the location and duration on the screen.

Once you are happy with the result, click on the arrow at the top right of the screen to Export and voila! You will have a video with excellent quality in CapCut.

Why is the watermark you placed not showing when exporting from CapCut?

If you did all the steps described, you shouldn’t have any problem displaying your watermark on the video, but it only appears for a short time you should make sure the layer appears in the entirety of the timeline of your project, and not just in a few frames of it. Of the rest, everything must be ready.

How to remove the watermark from a CapCut video?

Every video created in CapCut has a clip with the CapCut logo by default. Only stand on the timeline at the end and there you select it and give the trash can (Delete) so that it does not appear. Ideally, you would culminate it in a way that doesn’t seem abrupt, perhaps Fading or any other Animation from the CapCut gallery.
