Headphone left right balance on a Samsung Galaxy

The volume imbalance between a pair of headphones or earphones commonly happens when they are already old. Another possibility is that they are partially damaged or have gotten wet. Even in these cases you can perfectly solve this decompensation.

How to balance headphones on Android

Just go to System Settings and enter “balance” in the search box. If you can’t find it, try the route Settings> Accessibility> Hearing. Another possible route is Settings> Sound and vibration> Hearing.

Plug in headphones to enable balance control and put them on to test the changes by ear. Tilt the control towards the weakest hearing aid until you find the balance point. You will hear that it sounds more, while the other weakens.

If the problem earphone doesn’t ring at all when you give it full balance, your internal speaker has probably been totally physically damaged or the cable is broken.

Balanced applications

If you can’t find the “Balance” option in Android Settings in the way indicated above, there are Music players that offer this feature. So at least you can better listen to the music stored on your mobile.

Some of those apps are JetAudio, PlayerPro, N7 Player, PowerAmp O Rocket Player. In its settings, look for the menu «Basics», «Audio», «Playback» or «Equalizer». It should be under the name “Balance” or “Equilibrio”, in the form of a horizontal bar or knob.
