If you only hear one earphone or it sounds louder than the other

Balance allows you to set the amount of audio coming out of the left and right speakers in a stereo or two-channel sound system. In this case, the headphones of a cell phone, although it could also include devices with double speakers.

Plug in headphones to enable balance control and put them on to test the changes by ear. Tilt the control towards the weakest hearing aid until you find the balance point. You will hear that it sounds more, while the other weakens.

If the problem earphone doesn’t ring at all when you give it full balance, your internal speaker has probably been totally physically damaged or the cable is broken.

Balanced applications

If you can’t find the “Balance” option in Android Settings in the way indicated above, there are Music players that offer this feature. So at least you can better listen to the music stored on your mobile.

Some of those apps are JetAudio, PlayerPro, N7 Player, PowerAmp O Rocket Player. In its settings, look for the menu «Basics», «Audio», «Playback» or «Equalizer». It should be under the name “Balance” or “Equilibrio”, in the form of a horizontal bar or knob.

Audio balance with ROOT

There are applications that do NOT have independent balance adjustment, such as Spotify, Google Play Music, SoundCloud. If your cell phone does not have this native feature mentioned at the beginning, the alternative is to obtain root permissions on the phone and use the Viper app.
